Blendfi has a token of its own. Holding it already pays, on Holders pot; locking some of it is a second bargain on top, and it counts the same coins for more in that same pot. It is the one thing on this page that is optional: you never need the token to use a fund, and holding it does not change what any fund charges you.
1
Pick a term
2, 4, 6 or 8 weeks, and nothing in between. The longer the term, the more each coin counts: 1x, 2x, 3x and 4x over the same coins.
2
Points buy a rank
Silver, Gold, Platinum and Diamond. A higher rank needs more points, and a longer term reaches the same rank with fewer coins.
3
A rank pays a creator
Run a fund and your rank moves part of Blendfi's share of every fee your own fund charges across to you. Nobody's fee gets smaller; the money changes hands differently.
4
It ends on the day
There is no early exit. A top-up re-locks everything for the full term from that day, and a lock that has ended cannot be topped up: take it out first, then lock again.
Points are how many times how long, and a rank is measured in nothing else. There are 4 terms and nothing in between them: 2, 4, 6 or 8 weeks, multiplying what you lock by 1x, 2x, 3x and 4x. Lock longer and the same rank costs fewer coins.
Points are the coins you lock multiplied by the factor for the term. Points are what a rank is measured in, and they are the figure the rank bar on your own screen counts up. The four shields stand an equal step apart on the track, so the gap you see is the effort rather than the tokens.
Points buy a rank. There are 4: Silver, Gold, Platinum and Diamond. For anyone running a fund, a higher rank is a larger share of every fee their own fund charges.
Locking the platform token raises what a creator keeps of their own fund's fees. Weight is how many tokens times how long they are locked for, so the same rank costs fewer tokens on a longer term. The principal comes back in full when the term ends, and not one second earlier. There is no early exit and no penalty option.

What a lock pays everybody, and the extra thing a rank does for anybody running a fund.
For everybody: the Holders pot is 50% of what the token's own launch market charges, shared out by the second to everyone over the bar. The other 50% is Blendfi's. Tokens count, and coins you have locked count there too, with a bonus for the length of the term, so a lock is the same holding counted for more. Holders pot is that pot. It never expires and you claim it whenever you like, and it does not change what any fund charges you: the printed rate is the printed rate, for every holder.
Run a fund and a rank does something else as well: it moves part of Blendfi's share of a fee that has already been charged across to you. Nobody's fee gets smaller; the money changes hands differently.
The principal comes back in full when the term ends, and not one second earlier. There is no early exit and no penalty option.
Adding even one more token re-locks the whole position for the full term again. That is not a penalty, it is what a top-up is: the term is measured across everything you have locked, not per deposit.
A lock that has run out cannot be topped up. Take it out first, then lock again, so a top-up sent a moment too late can never re-lock a finished position for another full term by accident.
